Instruction: Guidelines for initiation of recovery proceedings before three months from the date of service of demand order - Instruction No. 01/2024-GST dated 30.05.2024: Instructions are issued to the all the Commissioners, Principal Commissioner, Directors, Principal Director that recovery proceedings should be started only after the expiry of three month period from the date of service of order. It is explained that only under exceptional circumstances the recovery can start before 3 months. The same needs to be explained with proper reasons and it should be sanctioned by the commissioner.
