It is memorable event and  Honour  for the State of Maharashtra that it has given two Chief Justices i.e. Father, namely shri Yashwant Chandrachud and Son, namely shri Dhananjaya Yashwant Chandrachud to our Nation - As everyone is aware by now that Justice Hon’ble Dhananjaya Yashwant Chandrachud has become 50th Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India on November 09, 2022. President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of Justice Chandrachud takes over from Justice  U.U.  Lalit,  who  demitted  office on 08/11/2022. The incoming CJI is a legendry and legal luminary and knows law  very  well.  In  the  past  six  years,  as a member of the Supreme Court, Justice Chandrachud has delivered many landmark judgements to his credit which have made a positive impact on the public and turned him into a hero in the eyes of many and, along with that, an eyesore for many others as well.
