Tech is no longer a matter of choice: Hon’ble Supreme Court. 1.1 A Bench of Chief Justice of India (CJI) D. Y .Chandrachud which Justices J.B. Pardiwala and Manoj Misra pulled up the Bombay High Court over minimal use of technology in ensuring hybrid hearings. 1.2 The Hon’ble CJI observed that apart from Justice Gautam Patel of the Bombay High Court, few other High Court judges appeared to be using technology. The CJI further noticed, “Why is it so retrograde in technology? Apart from Justice Patel of Bombay High Court, no one else is using it”. Irked over minimal use of technology, the bench issued a slew of direction to ensure that such modes are not disbanded. 1.3 No High Court in the country shall deny access to video conference or hearing through hybrid.......
